Before we get to the amazing, true stories, there is some reading we’d like you to do. You’ll see two exercises below with pink icons. You’ll do those first. If you do not see those pink icons, don't worry. Just click on the first story with a blue icon below.
The real fun starts with the Comprendi stories, and the first one is Pony Express. Like all Comprendi stories, it’s a true story and we’re sure you’re going to love it.
You only need to complete one story during each session. If you want to move onto the next story right away, go ahead if your teacher or parent says it’s OK.
As you progress through Comprendi, we might ask you to do some more of those exercises with pink icons. But there will only be two of them before you can get back into the fun Comprendi stories!
I’m delighted that you’ll be joining us on this adventure. Let’s get started! Please click on the first activity icon below the Welcome to Comprendi banner. It will either be pink or blue.
Thanks,
Dr. Marion
Your student is about to embark on an incredible journey through amazing and true stories. The Comprendi stories are divided into three parts or lessons. Each lesson is designed to be completed in less than 30 minutes.
When a student logs in to comprendireading.com with the username and password that has been provided for their Student Account, they will see a screen similar to what’s shown below. They should click on the Welcome to Comprendi “play” button to hear an introduction by Dr. Marion with instructions on how to proceed. In essence, the student will be asked to complete each activity in order.
The first two activities, in the pink boxes, are benchmark tests that are key to assessing a student’s progress. These have been designed to resemble standardized tests that are used in national testing. The student will be completing these a few times over the course of the program. If you’d like to opt out of the benchmark tests, please email info@dmlearninglab.com and we’ll adjust your account accordingly.
You can monitor each student’s progress by logging in with your teacher/parent credentials. You’ll see a screen similar to what’s shown below. Click on the student’s name to see his or her account details. Click on Track Activity Completion to see the student’s progress.
We hope you and your student(s) enjoy the adventure through the true stories of Comprendi. Please email us at info@dmlearninglab.com if there is anything we can do to assist.
Best wishes,
The DMLL Team
